COMMUNITY VOLUNTEER DAY
Help us Grow
Springtime volunteers are needed for a big day of preparing the market garden for the upcoming peak season of 2024. Join us at the field on Sunday the 12th of May 2024 from 11 am onwards for a community workday to help us feed the peninsula!
We have projects from building beds, to building a market stall, making signs and so much more. So regardless of your experience, join us to see what we get up to, and give us a helping hand - if you can!
Lunch and refreshments are provided. Click below to see Facebook event and RSVP either there or by email so we have an idea of how many to cater lunch for!
ANCIENT SKILLS
Wool Spinning
Come and learn how to spin your own yarn from sheep's wool!
This workshop is led by the talented Liz Roach. We met her at a winter solstice celebration at the iron age village Castell Henllys, and got super inspired. Spinning is one of the oldest crafts of our species and with all the sheep's wool around being wasted it is a way to help keep both a skill and resource alive. And it is so meditative and fun!
The workshop will take place at caeriad Market Garden, outdoors if the weather allows (otherwise in our polytunnel)
Booking is essential, so drop us an email if you want to join - write to us as well if it seems like more than you can afford and we can accomodate.
